This is the main screen of
Kiwi System for Restaurant 2008. The key functions can
be easily accessed through these main buttons. Each
buttons have clear wordings with meaningful and
attractive icons. There are the 4 main order types: Dine
In, Take Out, Delivery and Bar Tab. There are the
various registry activities: Pay In, Pay Out, Refund,
Cashier In, Cashier Out, No Sale, Settle. |

For Dine-In orders, you
will be able to easily place or select an order through
this Table Selection Window. This screen shows the exact
tables layout in the restaurant with table numbers. Kiwi
System for Restaurant 2008 supports multi-layout as
well, any additional layouts can be accessed through
additional buttons under the Main Dinning Room button on
the right panel. Switching between layouts is done by
just one click. Once the table is occupied, an "people"
icon will be showed on the table. |

This screen is the Order
Window for ordering items. The items in the selected
category are displayed on the upper panel, while the
categories are displayed on the lower panel on the
right. As many as 32 items and 16 categories can be
displayed in the same page at the same time! If there
are more than 32 items or 16 categories, you will able
to page up or down to view all the available selections.
Once a category is selected, the items for the selected
category will be automatically refreshed on the upper
panel. With categories and items selection available in
the same view, you will no longer need to perform
multiple clicks and jump back and forth like in some
other systems. |

It is very common for menu
items with user selections, for example, for side
orders. Kiwi System for Restaurant 2008 has designed
with simple set up and ordering process to support this,
called Forced Modifiers within Kiwi System. You can
define up to 5 level of pop-ups, in each pop-up, you
will be able to select one choice from a list of
modifiers you defined. If the item is defined with
forced modifiers, the Select Modifiers window as shown
will be displayed. It allows as many as 19 modifiers for
selection at the same time in one page, you will be able
to page up or down if there are more. |

To make changes to the
ordered items, you will go to the Order Modifiers
Window. You will be able to void line item, reduce or
split the item quantities, and remove the selected
forced modifier. Additionally, you will be able to add
additional cost and special instruction. You can select
from the given modifier action with the modifiers you
defined, or type your own note. In the screen shown, the
NOTE shows Add Fresh Asparagus, it was actually
populated by clicking on Add which pops up all the
defined modifiers list for selection and by clicking on
Fresh Asparagus from the list will add the NOTE. |

Communication between the
front and the back of the house is very important to
ensure best customer services. Kiwi System for
Restaurant 2008 provides a function to ensure good
communication is achieved. You will be able to add Order
Message or Item Message through this screen, these are
messages only visible on the kitchen receipts. You can
define your own common messages which will be displayed
as easy-accessed buttons or you can type your own
message. If the order is for a VIP Customer or Urgent,
such message can be communicated without physically
walking into the kitchen. |

When there is a need to
hold the entire order or just a particular item, you
will be able to easily do it through the Hold screen.
You will be able to select from the 12 different defined
durations, or you can use the provided buttons to
decrement or increment base on hours or minutes. If you
do not know how long the hold time is, then just select
Hold Until Notified. The appropriate hold time will be
displayed on the receipts without the need of walking
into the kitchen for such notifications. |

This is the Recall Orders screen,
which is a very convenient and helpful function accessed
through the Order Window. When an order is being placed,
sometimes there are needs to check on the previous
placed orders. When such needs arise, you will simply go
to this screen which will display the previous placed
orders with details on the screen. You can filter on the
orders display to a particular order type. You can even
select on one of the displayed orders for editing if
needed. |

This is the Settle Order Display Window (Back) and the
Settle Window. The Settle Order Display Window displays
all the open orders which have not been settled yet.
Once an order is selected, the Settle Window will be
displayed with the order information. You will not only
be able to select a payment method to make a payment,
but also to split or combine the order, add order or
item level discount, or gratuity. You can also print out
the guest receipt as well. Kiwi System for Restaurant
allows a single order to have up to 6 different
payments. |
